PROCESS FLOW

Single-stage reverse osmosis process

Raw water is conditioned by the pretreatment selected from the water analysis, passes a precision cartridge filter, and is pressurized through one RO membrane stage. Conductivity monitoring and automatic flushing protect the membrane train and confirm product-water quality.

  • Raw-water and booster pumps
  • Multi-media and activated-carbon pretreatment as required
  • Scale-inhibitor or pH dosing when required
  • Precision cartridge filter
  • High-pressure pump and RO pressure vessels
  • Conductivity, pressure and flow instruments
  • PLC cabinet with automatic flushing and protection

WATER TREATMENT PRINCIPLE

When a single RO pass is the right route

Reverse osmosis applies pressure across a semi-permeable membrane to separate most dissolved salts, colloids, microorganisms and organic contaminants from water.

A single-stage system is appropriate when the feed-water analysis and final conductivity target can be met with one RO pass. Capacity alone does not determine membrane count, recovery or pretreatment.

All performance values are engineering reference ranges. Final output depends on temperature, feed composition, membrane selection, recovery and operating control.

WHY THIS ROUTE

Practical advantages for selection

  • Straightforward process and lower operating complexity
  • Broad 0.25-50 m3/h model range within one product family
  • Flexible material and automation choices
  • Pretreatment and membrane array matched to actual feed water

BUYER QUESTIONS

Questions buyers usually ask before quotation.

Use these checks to decide whether the route is close enough before sending water data.

What information is needed to select a single-stage RO system?

Provide flow, working hours, raw-water analysis, target conductivity, voltage and installation conditions.

How is the capacity of a single-stage RO system selected?

Capacity is selected from required hourly and daily output, operating hours, feed-water temperature, recovery, storage demand and planned peak use. These inputs determine the pump, membrane array and vessel configuration.

When should double-stage RO be used instead?

Use double-stage RO when one pass cannot reliably meet the required final conductivity or purified-water standard.
