PROCESS FLOW

Membrane element matching workflow

Membrane elements must be matched to the existing vessel, array, feed composition, operating pressure, recovery and target rejection. A visually similar 4040 or 8040 element is not automatically an equivalent replacement.

  • 4040 commercial RO membrane elements
  • 8040 industrial RO membrane elements
  • Interconnectors and brine seals
  • Model and serial identification
  • Preservation and sealed transport packaging

WATER TREATMENT PRINCIPLE

Why membrane model matching matters

RO membrane performance is published under specific test conditions. Actual plant flow and rejection change with temperature, salinity, pressure, recovery and fouling.

Replacing one element with an incompatible flow or rejection model can unbalance the pressure vessel and reduce system performance.

WHY THIS ROUTE

Practical advantages for selection

  • 4040 and 8040 project matching
  • Selection based on operating data rather than appearance
  • Replacement seals and interconnectors can be supplied together
  • Supports both maintenance and new-system membrane lists

BUYER QUESTIONS

Questions buyers usually ask before quotation.

Use these checks to decide whether the route is close enough before sending water data.

Can any 8040 membrane replace another 8040 membrane?

No. Size may match, but flow, rejection, pressure rating, chemistry and spacer design can differ.

What photos should be sent?

Send the full membrane label, pressure-vessel label, system nameplate and current operating readings.

Why is the listed rejection a range?

Different membrane models and test conditions have different nominal and minimum rejection values; the project model must be confirmed before quotation.
